Spring is my favorite time of year. It's the chartreuse leaves
on the trees, the multitude of flowers and the promise of fresh
veggies soon to come. There's also knitting outdoors! Towards the
end of the day, I'm sitting out in the side field with an iced tea
or glass of white wine, knitting on a sock or new cardigan, watching
the sun sink low in the west. Last spring my sheep joined me in
the 'people' field to graze in the soft green grass, amidst the
tulips.

Jewelry
While out west recently I bought heaps of red coral, turquoise and
silver. I've been making bracelets, necklaces and earrings so will
have a good supply to choose from. |
 |
I've also been making my felt, beads and chain
necklaces to complement my yarn colorways , so there will be one
to match anything you knit.

Felting
I've been working on my felt "Lambscapes"- landscapes 'painted'
with wool; mountain, ocean, and field views. I first needle felt the
piece using my hand dyed roving (from sheep with names!) and slubby
yarn, then softly wet felt it. I do many scenes of Sugarloaf Mountain
which I can see from my farm. |
 |
Roving
for felting or spinning in all my rich colorways. I also have felting
needles. |
 |
Knitting
Lace shawl: What else to do with Sock Hop, my sock yarn? I've
knit this great little scarfy shawl in a sprucey green.
